Every data containing device that passes through an OceanTech facility receives compliant data destruction. OceanTech follows a strict process to ensure data security and complete risk mitigation is achieved.

Level 1 of Data DestructionCompliant software-based data destruction is performed on all data containing devices using WipeOS. A report detailing equipment and/or storage (i.e. hard drive) information will NOT be provided, only a certificate of destruction (CoD). The CoD will include data destruction, regulatory and environmental compliance standards that are met for each ITAD project.

Level 2 of Data DestructionData sanitization is performed on all data containing devices using WipeOS. A report will be produced after a project detailing each device make, model, serial number, storage (i.e. hard drive) serial number, and certificate of destruction (CoD). The CoD will include data destruction, regulatory and environmental compliance standards that are met for each project

Level 3 of Data DestructionAll hard drives and data containing media are physically destroyed. A report will be produced after a project detailing each device make, model, serial number, storage (i.e. hard drive) serial number, and certificate of destruction (CoD). The CoD will include data destruction, regulatory and environmental compliance standards that are met for each project.
